New Kids AND Teens eReading Rooms!

We are happy to announce that kids and teens will each have their own eReading rooms!  Soon after the launch of the eReading Room for Kids and Teens, OverDrive responded to requests, including one from WPLC, to make an option to have separate rooms for kids and teens.

A workgroup was formed by the WPLC Digital Steering Committee to develop separate sites and thanks to their hard work, effective Monday, October 13th, there will be individual sites specifically designed for juvenile and young adult.  In addition to the work group, we'd like to thank to Bradd Hintz, Graphic Arts Specialist at OWLS, for his creativity and work on the design of the new sites.

The URL's for the new sites are:

http://dbooks.wplc.info/kids
http://dbooks.wplc.info/teens

Please note you can click on the new Teens eReading Room to view it before it goes live to the public.  However, the new Kids eReading Room can’t be previewed until it’s ready to go live, since it is replacing the existing combined Kids/Teens eReading Room skin. Here is a screenshot of how the Kids room will look when it is live.

There will be an infographic link (like below) on the main digital library site for visitors to easily navigate to either site.  Like wiith the current eReading Room for Kids and Teens, each site's URL will cache in a user's browser.  When a user visits http://dbooks.wplc.info/, the last viewed site (either the main site, the kid's site, or the teen's site) will open.
