In fall of 2019, the WPLC Collection Development Committee recommended, and the Steering Committee confirmed, to not renew the WPLC’s subscription to BiblioBoard. This includes the following:
- BiblioBoard Library
- WI Author Project Contest
- Pressbooks
- SELF-e
The WPLC subscription runs through March 31st and will inaccessible on April 1, 2020.
BiblioBoard will send out an alert to all Pressbooks authors letting them know they will be unable to access their work after March 31, 2020. They have the option of continuing to use Pressbooks for a fee (this starts at $99/export) or using a different service. The email will instruct them to export their work before March 31st.
Unfortunately, once our subscription ends, WI authors will no longer be able to submit to the Indie Author program. After April 1, 2020 BiblioBoard is phasing in a new process to only accept submissions from authors of customer libraries.
A list of MARC records to weed from local catalogs will be available in March.
