Libby Basics Marketing Materials | Did You Know?

Do you ever find yourself answering the same questions over and over again, about Libby or Wisconsin’s Digital Library? A recent survey of over 300 library staff members revealed that on average, the questions they get most frequently from patrons include “Libby basics” like how to sign up for Libby with a library card, or how to navigate the app (a.k.a., giving “app tours”).

You can supplement those in-the-moment conversations with digital and print marketing materials and how-to’s about Libby, available from OverDrive and from Wisconsin’s Digital Library Marketing Committee:

The Public Library Resource Center on OverDrive’s website contains many marketing resources, including print-ready materials.

Available resources include:

  • Posters and flyers
  • Bookmarks and half-sheets – great for those outreach event tables
  • “Getting Started” guides for Kindles, Kobos, and other devices
  • Materials to promote magazines
  • Button templates for more easy outreach swag

The Digital Library Marketing Committee recently created an album with shareable images that spotlight different Libby features. You can check out the media set directly or follow Wisconsin’s Digital Library on Facebook and Instagram to easily reshare and republish their posts on your library’s accounts.

The “Did You Know?” series spotlights features, tools, and other resources available to library staff, including patron-facing folks, to expand their know-how about Wisconsin’s Digital Library, OverDrive, Libby, and the Wisconsin Public Library Consortium (WPLC).
